Make Your Projects Simple with Ebby’s

Led by a team of four outstanding ladies, Ebby’s is a local business created by Ebby Bell with a showroom and gallery located in Great Mills, Maryland, just off Route 5.

The new year is a perfect time to remodel many things in your life: your fitness routine, your habits, and even your home. Often times, folks avoid re-designing their home due to the cost involved, but even more often, because of the hassle. So much time and effort goes into choosing the perfect tile, to blend with the softest carpet, alongside the room’s matching pillows and drapery. In today’s busy world, who has time for that?

Ebby’s Finishing Touches.

Led by a team of four outstanding ladies, Ebby’s is a local business created by Ebby Bell with a showroom and gallery located in Great Mills, Maryland, just off Route 5. As a small company, Ebby’s prides itself on being able to go above and beyond for its customers, from custom interior design to product selection and installation. “Most people have no idea what we do – they think we sell knick-knacks and accessories,” Ebby said. “Even though our business is held out of a small building, we offer a lot of services. There’s no limit to what we can take care of.”

Design Services
One factor making Ebby’s extraordinarily unique is the company’s personal design services, including their free in-home consultations. By visiting the customer’s residence firsthand, it allows the designers to see what the space might need, making it simpler on the customer. In addition, Ebby’s handles both residential and commercial properties, from indoor to outdoor.

“Many times customers don’t know what’s offered so they’re looking for our advice. We try to make it as simple as possible because people are very busy and don’t have time to shop,” Ebby said.

Luckily, their expertise and home visits help to get any and all projects started right away, so when the designers come back the second time around, they already have visual examples prepared for the customer. This can include staging as well as paint color, furniture, and wall art selection and placement. Ebby’s takes the time to listen to your wants, needs, and most importantly your budget. They have a wide range of experience in addition to their knowledge of the products, brands, styles, and materials available for use. All of this expertise combined allows Ebby’s customers to sit back and relax while the leading ladies take care of the grueling details – the way the remodeling should be!

Decorative Painting and Murals by Theresa Freiss

Can’t live by the water? Ebby’s offers the next best thing! If you’re like many people remodeling their homes, you’ll want something that’s fresh and modern yet not too simple or ordinary. Ebby’s designer Theresa Freiss offers specialized hand-painting services that can bring any dream to reality. From an entire wall in a building to murals on floors and furniture, Theresa will work with you to create the perfect visual. And sometimes, that really is the Finishing Touch you need.

Flooring
When you’re starting to design an entire home and you don’t know where to begin, Ebby’s can help. The first step? Flooring. Ebby’s takes care of all aspects of flooring for the customer, from selection to installation. Endless choices are available and the experts at Ebby’s are there to help you narrow it down. Let’s take a closer look:

On Carpet:
Ebby’s offers commercial broadloom carpets, carpet tiles, and carpet base, along with residential options and custom-made area rugs and runners. They have a wide variety of light and dark tones for tons of styles, including textured plush, velvet plush, Saxony, Berber, frieze (short shag), and cut pile. Whether your living space deserves a more casual feel or something to hide heavy traffic marks like footprints and vacuums, Ebby’s will help you choose the best carpet for your needs. They even offer patterned options with sports logos for your (wo)man cave – sounds like a party to me!

Are You a Pet Lover? Ebby’s carries Stainmaster PetProtect carpet by Shawmark in plush, patterned loop designs, and tons of different colors.

Brands: Chesapeake Flooring Line, Milliken, Shaw Mark, Lex Mark

On Hardwood:
“We sell a wide range of solid and engineered hardwood – real wood with layers of plyboard underneath to stop the wood from expanding and contracting. For people who live around the water with the humidity, solid wood expands and contracts, which is why our engineered wood is such a good option. Also, a lot of people who have a continuous floor throughout their home choose to have the hardwood instead of having a lot of different floors. One continuous floor makes the home look larger.”

Wooden planks are available from 2 and a 1/4 inches thick to 12 inches wide and include looks such as hand-scraped, rustic, or smooth, with tons of species to choose from: red and white oak, exotics, birch, maple, and hickory. A wide range of colors are available with both solid and engineered wood, from redwood to grey, white, or light tan.

Go Matte Most hardwood floors are prefinished with urethane, however Ebby’s also offers a prefinished oil-rub to give hardwood floors a more matte look. If your foyer already has enough high-shine, this is a wonderful option!

Brands: DuChateau, Hallmark Hardwoods, Armstrong, Bruce

On Laminate:
One of the most durable, scratch-resistant floors is laminate. Known as a “floating floor” from the way it locks together but never actually attaches to the floor, laminate is great for pets, children, and anyone who withstands a lot of traffic in their household. While it’s not very water friendly, laminate best for living spaces, halls and bedrooms. Ebby’s offers both narrow and wide planks along with dark and light tones. And even though it’s a faux wood, Ebby’s has a matte finish in this as well.

Brands: Armstrong, Newcastle Flooring, IVC US Floors

On Tile:
When it comes to tile, Ebby’s has it all: vinyl, sheet vinyl, heavy duty vinyl, commercial vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, ceramic, porcelain, marble, slate, travertine (natural stone), and mosaic. Once you see their selection, the question of whether or not to remodel your master bath will be a thought of the past. The time is now!

Brands: IVC US Floors, DuChateau, Mannington Flooring

Countertops
From solid tones to exotic stones, Ebby’s selection of granite and quartz countertops is wonderful for upgrading your kitchen, bath, and even your fireplace.

Custom Window Coverings & Bedding
The trickiest part about remodeling a home is getting all of the little details to match and blend just right. At Ebby’s, you can get exactly what you’re looking for instead of weeding through “close enough” options at your neighborhood department store. Ebby’s offers custom drapery and upholstery for bedspreads, headboards, comforters, dust ruffles, pillows, cushions, and shower curtains. To go along with your new, beautiful wind coverings, Ebby’s also has a large selection of top-quality blinds and shutters available, including vignette, luminette, silhouette, pirouette, duette, roman shades, and roller shades. Don’t know the difference between each option? No problem! Ebby’s understands when you’re looking to defuse sunlight yet still enjoy your beautiful view – let them track down the perfect covering so you don’t have to!
